INFJ : The Relevance of Personality Test

December 4, 2008

Just yesterday, I was really troubled on who I am, why, and how should I exist? I don’t know why it suddenly popped out of my head. Seeking for answers, I sent a YM message to a friend just to release some of stress I am feeling since she is really very perceptive and understand people’s emotions in an instant. She addressed some questions such as what makes you “you”? What are your comfort zones? What makes you happy?

Those questions made me recall my life experiences. It was like I was in a vacuum where I was sucked in a world of the past where past events, people, scenarios became so real for me. And finally I found my answer. My vision, my goal, my happiness is having a complete family. I think that dream is simple, but in my case it is really complicated.

She told me that by knowing and understanding myself better, that will relieve the weight of the burden I am feeling inside. Then she said that she was an ISFJ. Hearing that acronym for the first time in my life. I honestly told her what is that? What does it mean? It is her personality ISFJ: Introvert Sensing Feeling Judgment. Then she asked me? What’s yours?

Okay. I am quite bias about this kind of stuff because I believe that these kind of topics are pretty girlish for me. So, I frankly told her I don’t know since those things did not interest nor concern me. By expalining to me that taking the personality on the net, you will understand why you act in such a way where you can’t even explain why you acted that way.

It was lunch time, I decided to take on the test. I took it seriously as if I am trying to recall instances so that my answers have basis. The result is I am an INFJ: Introvert Intuition Feeling Judging.

I am a kind of person who treasures personal values, long time relationships, peace loving, enjoys being alone at certain points, loves contemplating about things, wants to be included to have a change, who finds happiness in the simplest things such as making someone smile, very secretive unless I trust you so much, loves to hang out in small groups of people, the rarest kind of all personalities around 1% of the total world population.

Reading the descriptions of INFJ in terms of career and love relationships, I saw the exact copy of “me”. This made me realize by understanding yourself, you will not feel awkward, lost in space.

Now, the burden is slowly diminishing because I have found light, even though it is still dim.

Tiendesitas Event: Cris Evert and her business Evert’s Desserts

December 2, 2008

My friend, Cris Evert, is going to sell her homemade delicacies at Tiendesitas on December 6, Saturday. Her products are mouth-watering strawberry and blueberry cheesecake, carrot cake with and without creamy frosting, yummy revel bars, fudgy bon bons, chewy oatmeal cookies, and satisfying polvorons.

And since she just started her business, she needs people to man her booth in exchange for free desserts lunch and dinner. Well, she asked her circle of friends, Chinese and non-Chinese, composed of cute guys and hot girls to man her booth. And I am really FLATTERED that I am included in that list.

Well, it’s been quite a while since I have social life since I am so busy creating business plans, marketing plans, developing website contents and other stuffs. Now is the right time for me to mingle with her circle of friends and hope that I get to know some cuties.

Come mingle with us. Enjoy the ambience of the well-known social haven Tiendesitas and enjoy more with her desserts. Who knows? Probably, you will find your dream partner there and your Christmas will not be shaded with the color of BLUE.

Burger Avenue: I invaded the Ridiculous Challenge

I went to Burger Avenue in Makati Avenue last Saturday with a friend of mine. She told that me she really wanted to try the burger and compete with me in the Ridiculous challenge. All right, sounds like bonding time for the two of us.

I fetched her at the RCBC Plaza first before going to Burger Avenue. Boy, she’s stunning than ever. On our way to the burger haven,  we talked about the food business and our contacts. By the way, my friend is the owner of Evert’s Desserts and she’s offering scrumptious desserts that range from cakes, revel bars, and her favorite polvoron. Ohhh, and being a 75% Chinese, I learned that she has lots of contacts when it comes to suppliers of siomai and noodles. We also discussed how we can apply our experience in Singapore in the Philippines.

Anyway, we arrived there around noon. A venue Mall is such a small place, but with its exclusivity and restaurants in it, I think it’s a good place to hang out with someone special, friends or couples. I ordered the Ridiculous challenge solo thinking that probably she’s just joking around that she’ll order that 3 large patty burger in the Ridiculous Challenge. Yet, she still ordered the big one. I was not the only one surprised. Even the crew in Burger Avenue taking our order was astonished. I noticed it because there was a sudden change of the crew’s voice.

We sat at a corner of the restaurant and waited for around 15 to 20 minutes for our burger. Then, the challenge came. The crew reached us two super sized burgers. I think the size of two BIG MAC from Mcdonalds or two WHOPPER from Burger King.

I finished it within 3 minutes. Hahahaha. I was asking if I can compete with another challenge. They said that I have to pay for the second round. Too bad, my friend finished it around 7 minutes. After that, I got my refund of 255 pesos. And got a picture so that they can post in their store and Facebook. I have not yet been added to their Facebook account but as soon as I found my picture, I’ll post it in this blog.

I really can’t describe its taste because I was literally chewing and swallowing it to make the mark. Still, what I love about the burger is its thick, meaty, and juicy patties.  And if you really want to be full this is the place to go. That burger was my lunch and dinner. And since Burger Avenue is still gaining popularity, their service is great. Great Food. Great Service.

If I am going to rate this burger. I think this is the 4th best. My top 5 ranking for burgers arranged in order are Picky Eaters, Bite Club, Burger King, Brothers Burger, and Mcdonald’s.

It was a wonderful day for me having someone to spend time with me in one of my food trip. Next target is Pizza Niro.
